Under the USAID Firms Project, Chemonics collaborates with sectors including Dried mango units, Knitted garment manufacturing, and fruit and vegetable pulping in the provinces of Punjab and Sindh. The primary objective of the USAID Firms Project is to provide support to 18 knitted garment manufacturing SMEs, 4 dried mango SMEs, and 6 fruit & pulping SMEs situated in major industrial areas. As part of a comprehensive approach to environmental compliance. The Project has to develop specific tools for each facility: an Environmental Documentation Form (EDF), an Environmental Review Report (ERR), and an Environmental Mitigation & Management Plan (EMMP).

Scope of Services

  • Studied the secondary documents to understand the scope and nature of the assignment such as EDF, ERR and EMMP for the partner SME facility and Environmental Monitoring Checklist (EMC) etc.
  • Submitted detailed work plan with day-wise breakup of the work to be conducted and its timelines.
  • Updated/revised data entry program for the post distribution monitoring checklist.
  • Submitted the updated/revised Environmental Compliance Checklist (EMC)
  • Conducted field visit at each beneficiary SME’s site and administered the approved checklists/tools as per the approved work plan.
  • Submitted filled/verified versions of the quarterly reporting tools, post-distribution monitoring checklists, branding & marking compliance checklists and the baseline data collection tool.
