Punjab Cities Program (PCP) is a World bank funded project with gestation of 5 years. Launched in 16 cities of Punjab, it aims to design prioritized and cost-effective municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring long-term sectoral development aligned with city growth trends and maximizing population benefits The project is divided into 6 packages with cities (MCs) including; Jhelum, Wazirabad, Daska, Hafizabad, Kamonki, Jaranwala, Gojra, Kamalia, Jhang, Bahawalnager, Burewala (Package-IV), Vehari, Okara, Khanewal and Kot Addu (Package-V) 

Scope of Services

  • Verify and update data and maps for Solid Waste Management, Filtration Plants, water supply, and sewerage networks. 
  • Conduct holistic planning for municipal service sectors across 16 cities in Punjab. 
  • Prepare feasibility studies and design sub-projects up to 2030. 
  • Generate Feasibility Reports, Detailed Designs, Cost Estimates, Bid and Detailed Drawings, and PC-Is. 
  • Perform Economic and Financial Analysis to determine EIRR and FIRR. 
  • Collect field data for sectoral planning and assess existing municipal infrastructure and services quality. 
  • Identify fresh water sources and wastewater disposal options. 
  • Verify water bodies impacting city environments. 
  • Supervise contractor works for safety and quality assurance. 
  • Oversee construction of water supply and sewerage networks. 
  • Verify quantities of work and recommend payments to relevant authorities. 
  • Provide SOPs for Contract Implementation, including variations/deviations processing and laboratory testing. 
  • Monitor works, environmental, social, occupational health, and safety management plans, suggesting remedial actions for deficiencies.
