This an important international road project connecting port city of Karachi with Quetta and with Afghanistan through Chaman border. This portion of road is covering about 231 Km of National Highway (N-25). It Starts at Kalat and ends at Chaman at Pak- Afghan Border. Khad kocha– Quetta (Section 2 – 54Km) and Jungle Pir Alizai – Chaman (Section 4 – 57 Km). The project involves widening of existing road from 6 m to 7.3 m alongside rehabilitation of bridges and culverts, construction of 1 No Kuchlak Flyover, 2 No Weigh Station and 2 No Toll Plazas with USAID funding of about 90 million USD.
Scope of Services
Review of the Design Specifications and Construction Drawings:
Quality Control and Quality Assurance and Payment Certification:
Monitoring of the environmental compliance as per EMMPs
Verification to ensure that the plans/designs meet the priority criteria agreed.
Review of the plans/designs to assure compliance with agreed criteria and standards.
Verification of the quantities and quality of materials procured and works completed.
Notifying USAID on compliance or non-compliance of complete works with agreed standards and criteria.
To spot check and visit site to inspect quality of material and construction works.
To analyze rates and estimation of materials and their cost.
